Sarah was on a mission to find the best resort in Ubud, and she had a clear list of requirements in mind. She wanted to find a 5-star resort with a private pool, as well as options for both honeymooners and families. She also wanted to explore the best luxury resorts in Ubud, with plenty of options for couples.

As a travel writer, I was recently assigned to uncover the best resorts in Bali. I began my research by scouring travel websites and reading online reviews to find the top-rated resorts in Ubud. From there, I narrowed down my search to the most popular and highly-rated resorts in the area and only four and five-star resorts.

1. The Udaya Resorts & Spa - I was blown away by the stunning views of the surrounding rice fields and gardens at the Udaya Resorts & Spa. The resort's luxurious amenities, including the spa and fitness center, were the perfect way to unwind and relax in paradise.
2. Adiwana Resort Jembawan - I loved the mix of modern luxury and traditional Balinese culture at Adiwana Resort Jembawan. The resort's beautifully designed rooms, tranquil spa, and stunning views of the surrounding landscape made it a truly unforgettable experience.
3. The Kayon Resort - The breathtaking views of the Ayung River and surrounding jungle at the Kayon Resort were absolutely stunning. I felt completely rejuvenated and at peace during my stay, thanks to the resort's luxurious amenities and world-class dining options.
4. Tanah Gajah, a Resort by Hadiprana - Tanah Gajah was the ultimate in luxury and comfort. The stunning views of the rice fields and lush gardens, as well as the resort's beautifully designed rooms and world-class amenities, made it a must-visit destination in Ubud.

Overlooking the verdant hills of Ubud, The Udaya Resorts & Spa is a stunning 4-star resort that fully embraces traditional Balinese culture in every corner, presented in a luxurious form. During my stay at the resort, I was blown away by the stunning accommodation and world-class services that were designed to provide the ultimate in comfort and relaxation. The resort's Kaveri Spa and Vyoma Yoga Hut offered a truly holistic experience that left me feeling completely rejuvenated and at peace. And, the Deeva Restaurant's delicious Indonesian, Asian, and Western cuisine was a true delight for my taste buds. I loved the fact that The Udaya Resorts & Spa was more than just a resort - it was a home away from home, where everything was wrapped up to ensure guests' maximum convenience and happiness. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a truly authentic and unforgettable Balinese experience.

Adiwana Resort Jembawan

Upon arrival at Adiwana Resort Jembawan, I was immediately taken by the stunning riverside location and tranquil atmosphere. The staff greeted me with warm smiles and a refreshing welcome drink before showing me to my room. I must say, the room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with a stunning view of the lush jungle.

One of the highlights of my stay was the full-service spa with Ayurvedic treatments, deep-tissue and Thai massages, and detox wraps. The two outdoor pools were perfect for a refreshing dip, and I couldn't resist lounging on the sunbeds while enjoying the lush greenery.

The Herb Library restaurant on site offered some of the best food I've had in Ubud, with a fantastic range of international and traditional dishes.

Sarah had heard great things about the Hanging Gardens of Bali, a 5-star luxury hotel that was located in a rural area and on the riverwalk. As she arrived, she was immediately struck by the natural beauty of the surroundings, with the lush jungle and serene river providing a stunning backdrop for the hotel.

The Hanging Gardens of Ubud are established as one of the unique experience hotels in all of the Orient, and one of Asia's top destination spa resorts. 

Ubud Hanging Gardens

Location: 1.5 hours (or 50 kilometers) by taxi from the airport. Set on impossible looking terraces overlooking a spectacular river gorge.

The hotel itself was truly impressive, with an art gallery on site and a beautiful terrace that offered stunning views of the surrounding jungle. The outdoor pool was a highlight, with sunloungers and pool umbrellas providing the perfect spot to relax and unwind.

Sarah was pleased to find that the hotel's spa offered a range of treatments and therapies, including facials, reflexology, and body wraps. She couldn't resist booking a treatment, and found that the spa's serene atmosphere and skilled therapists provided the perfect escape from the outside world.

Amenities: Spa, complimentary shuttle service to Ubud centre, cooking traditional Balinese dishes, infinity swimming pool, grand gardens with exotic trees and essences of the tropics including cocoa, coffee, durian and a variety of bamboos, flame trees and orchids. There's also a bar, lounge boutique, painting, golf and more.

The on-site restaurant, Three Elements, was another highlight of Sarah's stay. The restaurant offered a range of delicious dishes, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and creative presentation. Sarah was pleased to find that the hotel also offered free in-room WiFi and a range of other amenities, including shopping on site and a cafe.

The rooms themselves were spacious and beautifully designed, with private plunge pools and premium bedding providing the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The air conditioning kept the rooms cool and comfortable, and the separate sitting areas provided plenty of space to stretch out and enjoy the view.

Overall, Sarah was thoroughly impressed with the Hanging Gardens of Bali. The hotel's stunning location, luxurious amenities, and commitment to safety and comfort made it the perfect spot for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway.
