As a Caribbean travel writer with a passion for exploring new places, I was thrilled to receive an assignment to discover the best adult-only all-inclusive resorts in Aruba. My mission was to find the perfect getaway for couples or solo travelers looking for a luxurious and relaxing experience.
Welcome to the Riu Palace Antillas Hotel, where the Caribbean sun meets an all-inclusive paradise that caters exclusively to adults over 18. It's perfect for those who need a break from life's mundane worries and want to relax in a fantastic and romantic setting.
Upon arriving, I was immediately drawn to the free gym, spa, and beauty salon that offered a wide variety of treatments. But who needs a treadmill when you can soak up the sun on the beach with free lounge chairs, sun umbrellas, and towels? And if that's not your style, there's always the option to try out some of the many water activities offered, like windsurfing, snorkeling, kayaking, or even a diving test in the pool. But beware, the latter may cause some serious FOMO if you're not diving in the real deal in the ocean nearby.
But if you prefer to keep your feet on land, there are plenty of other activities to keep you occupied, like renting a bicycle or hiking on one of the nearby routes. And for the golf lovers, there's a course just waiting for you to show off your best swing.
And let's not forget the food! With a buffet restaurant that serves colorful Caribbean cuisine, as well as three thematic restaurants that offer different world flavors, your taste buds are in for a treat. But I have to warn you, don't eat too much or you might not be able to dance the night away at one of the shows or at the casino.
Now, let's talk about the rooms. The 482 rooms offer plenty of comforts, like 24-hour room service and laptop-friendly workspaces. I stayed in a gorgeous oceanfront suite with not one, but two balconies. The views were to die for and the sound of the ocean waves was the perfect lullaby. The bathroom was incredibly spacious, with a huge walk-in shower that had a showerhead that was big enough to make you feel like you're standing in the rain. The double sinks were great for getting ready in the morning, and the toiletries were by Lavarino of Italy, which made me feel like a fancy traveler. And let's not forget about the liquor dispenser that came stocked with rum, vodka, whiskey, and brandy - who needs a bartender?
