If you are looking for a big San Diego resort by Sea World this may well suit you. On a private island, and more kids activities and pools than even Carribean resorts this is an excellent San Diego family resort. With five pools, water sports, golf, and a good sized beach.
Paradise Point is located on a 44 acre peninsula in Mission Bay Park. The resort is almost next to SeaWorld San Diego. Mission Beach and Old Town are less than four miles away.
It's a large resort with 462 bungalows with marble vanities and cascading showerheads, high speed Internet access, refrigerators.
Highlights include The Barefoot Bar with some live music performances, fitness center, Spa Terre, five pools, five championship tennis courts, a basketball and a volleyball court, an 18 hole putting course, table tennis, croquet and rental bicycles, private marina, watercraft rentals, and children's camp.

Amenities include a marina with rentals, fitness center, bayfront pool, championship tennis courts, full-service spa, and a great restaurant. There's also a free shuttle to SeaWorld.

Catamaran Resort is located in Mission Bay and on a private beach. It consists of 14 acres of tropical gardens that features a waterfall, a full service spa, pilates on a quiet lawn by the beach, an outdoor pool, video arcade attracts gamers, seasonal children's programs and live entertainment.
It's close to pedal boats, kayaks, waverunners, ski boats, sailboats and catamarans. Most equipment can be rented at the resort.

Not a resort but a great hotel, Tower23 is a sophisticated trendy hotel three miles from La Jolla. Close to where surf competitions are.
Amenities: Minimal design, near nightlife, has a Zen garden, cocktail service on the terrace, fire pit, wireless high speed Internet down to the beach, a business center, and a coffee shop.
There are 38 guestrooms and "Surf Pads" that have private balconies.
Reviews: Seems guests really dig this hip new funky hotel. Nearly all reviews are outstanding and guests really appreciated the fresh modern approach. Looks better than the pics.
